As an internal business consultant at his first start-up during 2009, he advised on expansion strategies for an online pay-day loan provider. Working to build strategic partnerships with Tribal Lenders, he was the head of policy making and procedural development. Five years with the organization allowed him to home in on the talents and skills necessary to have productive conversations in the face of business, economic and regulatory challenges. 

Upon leaving the world of online-lending, Matthew advanced his career while receiving his Bachelors in Sociology. Utilizing skills learned in school, he took to data analytics as a way to help the organizations he worked for. During a four year span he worked for two multi-billion-dollar credit unions in compliance consulting roles. Helping develop testing strategies, he worked with internal business units to measure regulatory compliance against consumer protection laws. Experienced in both lending and operations, Matthew has what it takes to craft professional documents, design testing protocols, analyze data, and create digestible board reports.

In 2018 during his time at a successful community bank in Utah. While AVP of Compliance, Matthew was able to consult on high-risk lending practices and ultimately advise the Board of Directors to take appropriate measures to end specific lending practices. All while transitioning loan pipelines and associates to appropriate outcomes.

After finishing his Master of Science at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, Matthew launched a successful Pro Bono Coaching Program in 2022. With his M.S. in Psychology, he brings an insightful understanding of human behavior, which he leverages for client success. The potent combination of career experience and educational experience is what makes him stand out above the crowd. • Creating and facilitating both online and in-person gamified compliance trainings for a six-billion-dollar bank, specializing in credit card lending and servicing.

• Co-captaining mental fortitude and emotional comprehension events using his M.S. in Psychology throughout Utah and Idaho.
